At my school we do Social Study and this term when have been learning about Polynesian and European migration.
one thing I learnt was that in 1769 James Cook came to New Zealand in his ship the Endeavour.
Did you know that James Cook came to New Zealand from Britten to explore the pacific ocean and made detailed maps of New Zealand.

In music this term we have played ukulele and learnt about guitar with Mr Clarke. I really liked playing the ukulele because I have played it for many years. I found some of the songs we played in music challenging because they were very different then the songs I normally play. I did not enjoy the paper work we did this term because I don’t really like writing things by hand.
Sports
I play a sport called Hockey. Hockey it is where I have a stick, there is a hard ball that the two teams playing have to get in the other teams goal pass all the players but the ball has to be hit into the goal form inside the circle.
running
I am a runner when I run I averagely run one to five kilometres with my father at lest once a week.
working out
I lift small one kg weights when I do yoga to relax most days. It helps build endurance for my long running that I would like to peruse.
how I can get more fit
more frequent working activates.
What is showquest?
show quest is a place where people go and do dances for a composition. this takes a long time to make because the have to make the music the dance and the backdrop and the show and who is who.
Showquest stories from Rolleston, Hornby and Cashmere had different dances.

Lazy girl – can’t see chores; mum wishes daughter has eyes to see the chores and the girl turns into a pineapple.
In our dance was about deforestation where me and Hazel were witches that make a poison that accidentally chills the trees from the inside out.

For the Witch costume I would where a black long dress and a pointy hat. For shoes I would wear black boots.

In science we did a experiment where we had to put solutions(A,B,C,D and water) on a coin. The solutions where: A was salt B was water c was soap d was vinegar. we did the experiment to learn about surface tension. here is our average drops.
Hi I am Annabelle I go to Hornby High School (HHS). This year is my first at HHS my favourite subjects are: Maths, Art, DTE, Japanese and Science. I am a Liberian at HHS.
